May The 4th Be With You

Happy May 4th to all of you Star Wars fans out there! 

I feel like this would be the perfect time to introduce myself. My name is Alyssa, and I have been writing blogs for Sweet N Swag since November 2020. 

So, why is this the perfect time to introduce myself? Because my husband, Garrett, is a HUGE Star Wars fan!! Like huge. So it’s only fitting!

Anyways, we have been married for almost 3 years and we moved to St George about a year ago. I am surprised my husband asked me to marry him without me seeing all of the Star Wars movies first. I finally made it through all of them last year, and now I understand why he loves them so much. 

In January 2021 we welcomed our first baby, Liam, to our family. My husband loves the actor Liam Neeson who happens to play Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars! He played a big part in choosing our son’s name. Our Liam is exactly everything that we needed! I am probably biased, but he is the cutest little baby and is the inspiration for most of my blogs! He is only a few months old right now, but we bought him some little swim shorts for him to grow into this summer since we live in St. George, and they are Star Wars themed of course! I am looking forward to putting those on him!

I am a stay at home mom, and I write blogs for Sweet N Swag every once in a while on the side. It is fun! It gives me something else to do besides baby snuggles, even though those are the best! I’ve also recently started the Star Wars shows again so I can say that my baby has seen them too! Although I do like Star Wars, I also really like Criminal Minds and Grey’s Anatomy. Since I am a SAHM (stay at home mom) I have plenty of time to watch t.v., and write blogs!

My husband is a sales manager for a solar company, which is what brought us to St. George from southern Idaho. He really enjoys his job, and does very well. He enjoys Star Wars, and my family has taken that to heart. For one of his birthday’s my younger sister bought him a Star Wars cooking apron and oven mitts, which he uses quite frequently! 

After writing this blog and realizing how much Star Wars is actually in our lives, I am thinking that I need to have a Star Wars themed party for my husband. He would love that ;) Does anyone else celebrate May 4th as a Holiday? I am genuinely curious!
